When it mattered most, Southside 16 rose. In a thrilling three-set battle against CVC 16 Nationals, Southside proved they could execute in chaos, close in pressure, and trust their system when every touch counted.</p>   <p>This wasn't a team riding individual heroics. It was a group built on balance—strong first contact, disciplined blocking, and an offense that stayed aggressive even when the match tightened. They served with intent, defended with urgency, and transitioned cleanly from dig to kill. The championship run showcased a roster that understands how to win points in multiple ways and how to stay connected when the match becomes emotional.</p>   <p>Southside 16 didn't just earn hardware—they made a statement. This is a team prepared to compete at a high level all season long. Let's dive in and see who will be representing the Southside 16 this season and what to expect!</p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Brynley Bosch | Right Side</strong></h3>   <p>Bosch brings a physical edge to the right pin. She attacks with authority, especially in transition, and does an excellent job using her height and reach to challenge blockers. What stands out is her ability to score against structure—she isn't phased by a formed block and understands how to use high hands and sharp angles. Defensively, she closes well and takes space away from opposing pins. Expect Bosch to continue evolving into a true terminal option this season.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='752234' first='Cameron' last='Braun'] | Pin / All-Around</strong></h3>   <p>Braun is the kind of player every team builds around. She impacts every phase—scoring from the pin, stabilizing serve receive, and defending with range. Her approach is explosive, her arm swing fast, and her shot selection mature. In high-pressure moments, Braun plays with confidence and clarity. She's a momentum driver who turns long rallies into points and keeps the offense dangerous in every rotation.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='874842' first='Olivia' last='Burrer'] | Middle Blocker</strong></h3>   <p>Burrer anchors the net with discipline. She moves efficiently along the tape, closes seams with purpose, and presents a clean, pressing block. Offensively, she stays connected to the setter and finishes quick tempo with balance and control. Burrer's consistency gives Southside a reliable presence in the middle, allowing the offense to establish rhythm early and often.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Nya Davis | Defensive Specialist</strong></h3>   <p>Davis brings calm to the back row. Her platform is quiet, her angles clean, and her first contact allows the offense to stay in system. She tracks hitters well and takes efficient routes in transition defense. In a match defined by pressure, Davis delivered composure—keeping balls playable and extending rallies when points mattered most.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Channing Ell | Middle Blocker</strong></h3>   <p>Ell plays with energy and intent at the net. She closes quickly, reads hitters well, and brings urgency to every block move. Offensively, she runs her tempo with confidence and shows the ability to finish both in system and off broken plays. As a setter, she keeps tempo consistent, connects well with her hitters, and manages rotations with composure. When defending, she transitions quickly and keeps the ball alive. Nehls is a true glue player who keeps the team organized.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jayla Perman | Outside / All-Around</strong></h3>   <p>Perman is an all-court weapon. She scores from the pin, passes with confidence, and defends with urgency. Her transition speed keeps her involved in every rally, and she consistently turns defense into offense. Perman's ability to impact both sides of the ball gives Southside flexibility and firepower in critical rotations.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Bailee Ristow | Right Side</strong></h3>   <p>Ristow brings physical presence to the right pin. She attacks with power, especially in transition, and provides a reliable option against mismatches. Her hands are clean, her release consistent, and her decision-making sharp. She does an excellent job establishing middles and stretching defenses pin to pin. In pressure moments, Tooke stays composed, delivering hittable balls and keeping attackers confident.
