2026 Elite Dual Threat Hitters: Part One

This past week, I featured a boatload of dual-threat hitters in the Kansas Class of 2028, as rankings for that class were updated.   I won't lie, I got a little jacked up about featuring six rotation athletes with huge numbers.   After all, I am a numbers geek.   Anyhow, I want to show some love to the outgoing senior class with the first of a couple reports on dual-threat hitters.   I hope it will also serve as a reminder to those seniors who have committed to a college program to please let me know, so it will be reflected in the rankings.   Additionally, it will provide some names to college coaches still seeking 2026 talent, and there are more than you would expect at this time of year.   Here is a quick look at athletes who finished their final prep seasons with at least 400 kills and 200 digs. It is not an all-inclusive list, as I only included ranked athletes and not all high schools post public stats.   Stay tuned for a second report on multi-skilled attackers today.   [player_tooltip player_id='516244' first='Audrey' last='Bina'], 6'0”, OH/S, Norton, ‘26   Bina finished her senior season at Norton with 443 kills and 262 digs. She is ranked No. 172 overall. Her career numbers included 1,396 kills and 859 digs. In her first three seasons in Norton, she played setter.   [player_tooltip player_id='830079' first='Avery' last='Barnett'], 5'7”, MB/OH, Riverton, ‘26   Barnett finished her senior season with 494 kills and 423 digs. She is ranked No. 166 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. During her high school career, she finished with 935 kills and 868 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='800635' first='Jordan' last='Bartlett'], 5'6”, DS/OH, Bennington, ‘26   Barlett recorded 407 kills and 413 digs during her final prep season. She is ranked No. 103 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She tallied 1,123 career kills and 1,551 digs with the Bulldogs.   [player_tooltip player_id='809600' first='Delaney' last='Childs'], 5'10”, MB, Nickerson, ‘26   Childs finished senior season with 433 kills and 280 digs. She is ranked No. 306 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. Her career numbers with the Panthers included 1,106 kills and 758 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='523690' first='Maddie' last='Coester'], 5'10”, OH, Girard, ‘26   Coester is ranked No. 35 overall and has committed to Johnson County CC. She finished her senior season with 469 kills and 326 digs. In her four seasons with the Trojans, she collected 1,366 career kills and 1,007 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='357543' first='Hayden' last='Grimes'], 5'9”, OH, Andale, ‘26   Grimes is ranked No. 20 overall and has committed to Colorado State. She registered 419 kills and 251 digs during her senior campaign. In four seasons with the Indians, she accumulated 1,144 career kills and 1,244 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='222106' first='Carlyle' last='Johnson'], 6'2”, MB, Collegiate, ‘26   Johnson recorded 454 kills and 274 digs during her senior season. She is ranked No. 7 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and has committed to Duke University. She finished her high school career with 1,280 kills and 738 digs. She is ranked No. 28 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and has committed to Washburn University. During her past two seasons, she recorded 895 kills and 565 digs. She is ranked No. 38 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished with 1,927 career kills and 1,095 digs. She recorded 708 kills and 323 digs for the Bulldogs. Over four seasons, she finished with 2,640 career kills and 1,234 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='830048' first='Ava' last='Smith'], 5'9”, OH, Valley Heights, ‘26   Valley Heights' Smith recorded 486 kills and 299 digs during her senior campaign. She is ranked No. 55 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished her career with 1,646 kills and 1,183 digs. She finished her senior season with 414 kills and 255 digs for the Owls.   [player_tooltip player_id='809964' first='Lauryn' last='Vogt'], 5'9”, MB/OH, Hillsboro, ‘26   Vogt tallied 453 kills and 412 digs for Hillsboro. She is ranked No. 255 overall. She accumulated 1,027 career kills and 778 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='459041' first='Jaiden' last='Wise'], 5'8”, OH, Silver Lake, ‘26   The Silver Lake senior registered 407 kills and 296 digs last fall. She is ranked No. 156 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished with career totals of 923 kills and 694 digs for the Eagles. She finished her senior season with 431 kills and 299 digs. Over four seasons, she recorded 1,310 career kills and 1,006 digs for the Spartans.
