Then two setters in Mercy junior [player_tooltip player_id='556153' first='Olivia' last='Duncan'] and Holy Cross (Louisville) junior [player_tooltip player_id='484257' first='Leah' last='Evans'] then find a variety of hitters.</p>

<p>The team has three middles on it in Eminence junior [player_tooltip player_id='815199' first='Kendall' last='Hutchison'], Oldham County junior [player_tooltip player_id='780296' first='Ella' last='Knight'] and Portland Christian junior Sammie King. Two outsides in John Hardin junior [player_tooltip player_id='752887' first='Danielle' last='Ingram'] and Holy Cross (Louisville) junior [player_tooltip player_id='497557' first='Emma' last='Rosebush'].</p>

<p>Jason Gossman is the team's head coach. The team took third in the Nike Classic 17 Club Division. The next event is Nike President's Day Classic in St. Louis.</p>

<p>The team features four defensive specialist/liberos in Manual sophomore teammates Rory Martin and Ella Morrison along with Assumption sophomore Caroline Martin and Highlands Latin junior [player_tooltip player_id='535213' first='Sophia' last='Arruda']. The setters are Seneca junior Ellie Bright and Crawford County (Indiana) sophomore Shanna Jenkins.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Knight (pictured) turned into a force in the front row for Oldham County in the fall and continues to execute a variety of shots from the pins and middle during club season. Knight sends balls down lines, pounds crosses and can also run slides and roll shots. Knight powers down ones as well. Knight also forms nice double blocks with opponents. Knight had 250 kills, 47 assisted blocks and nine solo blocks in the fall, helping Oldham County go 22-11 and make it to the 8th Region semifinals.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Rosebush runs strong routes from the middle and pins. Rosebush can smack home hard crosses and back row shots. She does a great job angling balls off blocks for big points and finds openings a number of ways on ones. Rosebush had 190 kills, 31 solo blocks and 53 assisted blocks in the fall, helping Holy Cross go 27-11, win the All "A" 6th Region, finish All "A" State runner-up and finish 6th Region runner-up.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Bodytko's quick arm swing goes a long way. It helps her get around blocks and send balls screaming to the ground. Bodytko has good size and uses it to get on top of balls. Bodytko blocks lefthanded tips and puts the hammer down on overpassed balls. Bodytko is also a formidable blocker. She forms great double blocks with teammates. Bodytko had 195 kills, 41 assisted blocks and 26 solo blocks in the fall, helping North Bullitt go 18-11 and make it to the 6th Region semifinals.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Arruda is showing some nice all-around play early in club season. Arruda makes precise passes then quickly transitions to offense or net protection. Arruda can tap balls into the middle when it opens up. Arruda also possesses a nice jump serve. Some work on her mechanics can produce more effective hitting. Arruda had 179 digs and 54 aces in the fall for Highlands Latin.</p>
