Setters make the volleyball go round. Well, atleast offensively they are extremely important. Setters allow offenses to have a designated person who takes 2nd ball, they allow for up tempo offenses to flourish and they are typcially players who possess leadership skills that add immeassuarble value. Lets take a look at 6 setters that demonstrate those things.

Yzabellah Vega- Setter for Elevate 16.2. Yzabella shows great athletisism and at times shows the ability to be a very vocal leader. Her hustle and quickness help her track down even the toughest of balls. She is a big part of this elevate offense that just finished winning their bracket at the Kaizen Classic. Keep an eye out for her and this team as the season progresses.

Ava Freeman- Setter for [program_tooltip program_id='776295' first='Tulsa' last='Power'] 15-1. Ava and Company are currently ranked top 350 in the nation. Ava's flawless form and effort do not go unnoticed. She may have a load of really good hitters around her, but she does an amazing job of making sure they have every opportunity to score.

Kennedy Johnson- Setter for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 15 American Tulsa. Kennedy is a sneaky good setter. This Charge American team is very underrated. All three tournaments this season. They have finished top five overall. Topped off with a runner-up finish two weekends ago.

[player_tooltip player_id='915682' first='Rylie' last='Amos']- Setter for Peak 14 Elite. I knew Rylie was good, but I didn't know she was this good. She had great footwork, great out of system sets on the run and connect well with her middles. If she keeps progressing at this pace, college coaches better take note quickly. Because she is going to start contributing at the high school level very soon and have a very illustrious career.

[player_tooltip player_id='946595' first='Olivia' last='Lucas']- Setter for Rise 16-1. Olivia was an awesome example of what floor leadership looks like. Her team already has 13 wins on the season. Olivia's consistency has helped this team with a runner-up finish at the Tulsa attack and defending their home court this past weekend where they prevailed as the champions.

[player_tooltip player_id='903591' first='Breonna' last='Joyce']- Setter for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 15 UA Tulsa. Breonna helped their team to a runner-up finish early in the season at jingle jam, followed up by placing sixth in the open division at Oklahoma's largest tournament, Redlands rendezvous. This is a player that not only impresses the scouts, but common fans getting to watch good volleyball.

As always, thank you for supporting our vision and purpose here at Prepdig. We have quite the lineup of content on the horizon. Things such as the updated 2026 rankings, additions to our 2029 and 2030 rankings, our top two clubs in the state, as well as a ton of articles covering all sorts of players from here in Oklahoma.

Please make sure to update your profiles to include as much info as possible so that are tagging the correct players within our system. Especially if you are a 2029 or 2030 player who may end up in our rankings.
