About Elena

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength is my consistency and ability to stay calm under pressure. As a libero, I take pride in being reliable in serve receive and defense, communicating with my teammates, and keeping the energy up even when things aren’t going our way. I try to be someone my team can count on for every ball.

What are you working to improve right now?

I’m working on becoming more aggressive and confident with my serve receive and defense. I’m also focusing on improving my reading of hitters and court awareness so I can anticipate plays better and make more difficult digs.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I’m looking for a competitive program with coaches and teammates who push each other to get better. I want a team that values hard work, communication, and a strong team culture. Academically, I’m also looking for a school where I can be successful both on and off the court.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

Outside of volleyball, I’m hardworking, responsible, and willing to put in the effort to reach my goals. I’m also someone who values my relationships with my teammates, friends, and family. I try to bring a positive attitude and be someone others can depend on

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I’m still exploring exactly what I want to study, but I’m interested in finding a career that allows me to work with and help people. I want to choose a field that I’m passionate about while also giving me opportunities to continue growing and challenging myself.
