Her approach speed and jump mechanics gave her an advantage at contact, and she used her vertical to hit over or around the block with confidence. She showed strong wrist control, scoring with both power and finesse.

Champeau showed great technical discipline, specifically in her ability to hit sharp angles. She isn’t just swinging blindly; she’s finding the deep corners and using every inch of the court to score.

Champeau is an all around talented player and is easily noticed on the court. When passing, she get to the ball early with time to angle her platform and put the ball on top of the setter. Her platform control keep the softest tips and most aggressive down balls in system for her team to make a play. When out of system, she sets up the pin hitters effortlessly allowing for a scoring play to be made. When blocking, Champeau moves quickly getting up and pressing over the net to control the ball back down for the stop. Her communication is non-stop throughout rallies and allows for her to have multiple attacking opportunities. She is always ready to swing big and put the ball down.

Caitlin is a fearless competitor who attacks every ball that comes her way with purpose. She can adjust to any set and isn’t afraid to take a big rip when the opportunity arises. What really sets her apart is her ability to consistently deliver hard, sharp cross shots that are nearly impossible to return, making her a constant threat on the court. She has been showing up big for her team, already tallying up over 150 kills this season.

Champeau has tallied 111 kills with a .171 hitting percentage, and while her numbers don’t tell the whole story, her versatility and persistence stand out. Champeau is a hard working 6 rotation outside hitter. Due to her her impressive skill set and high school season success, it is clear that she has worked on all aspects of her game including defense and serve receive. Champeau is surely going to continue to grow and impress as she plays up a year against stiff competition this club season on Crossfire 16u.

Champeau preps at Delano where she found much success in her freshman season playing OH where she averaged 2.7 kills/set and 2.7 digs/set. Caitlin is a solid 6 rotation player that takes big swings all over the front court and also out of the back court. Already exposed to considerable high level volleyball, it is not surprising to find her playing up an age division with 16U Crossfire Volleyball this club season. Since she is a 2028 grad, coaches are going to have to wait a bit before they can recruit her but they are sure going to enjoy watching her in the mean time.

Champeau is smart when she is out of system and will take a little pace off the ball. She is a high-impact athlete who brings a lot of energy to the court. Champeau has a quick approach and can take a fast swing down the line. She can manufacture points on either pin, put up a solid block, and pinpoint corners.
