Kentucky Teams Shine Bright in the President's Day Invitational

Kentucky teams showed up this past weekend at the UA President's Day Invitational with the15/16's Open Gold bracket being won by MAVA(Mid America Volleyball Association) 15 Select, while EVA(Elizabethtown Volleyball Academy) took gold in 16 Club division and [program_tooltip program_id='510734' first='Lexington' last='United'] 16 National taking silver! An extremely competitive tournament put on by Top Court Events saw teams from both coasts including clubs from Texas, Seattle and Maine in the mix. We wrap our coverage with a final handful of players that are super talented and brought their A game to Knoxville!    Destiny is a key player for her team! She has sound skills with fast, accurate sets and shows good judgment running the court. She looks to have a wonderful relationship with her pins and middles and utilizes them all well during game play with strong connections to earn points! She has a solid stance with great hands and doesn't indicate where she chooses to set keeping the opposition guessing making a super offence and a great backset! She can get there to for the second contact and turn a bad pass to a great set for the pins or middles from anywhere on the court. She digs well and has an excellent serve. She has unending enthusiasm and brigs her game, love her play!     Fergi is a player with talent that runs deep! She has all the tools and shows incredible play on the court for her age! She is sound in all positions, with a sweet clean correct swing, she shows good ball placement and control from a text book proper attack with a extremely good approach, good footwork and arm swing and a lofty vertical. She is fast to transition off the net giving herself a healthy space to attack and gets the job done! She can tip showing good placement using good excellent court IQ, and can also deliver a nice cross court hit. She digs up, covers well, can close out the block and will hit tight to the net if needed or from the ten foot line effectively! A enthusiastic vocal player that is very, very, impressive already! A star in the making!     Josie is a strong player on the court that is a force at the net. She is a solid blocker who can be imposing with her size but can swing and add points to the board in addition. She shows good power at the net putting up a solid block with good timing and reach, moving easily up and down the net with a good swing block. She follows the play well and positions herself correctly to defend. She transitions nicely for attacks with a good approach and a strong correct swing with a lovely downward trajectory for great kills with great ball control and contact. She possesses a super serve and will dig up balls in the back row. She is the consummate player with good energy and team enthusiasm. A need to have player!     Makenna is fire on the court! She puts herself in the right position and makes plays happen. She is strong in all skills with a beautiful swing, a great block and will get every bit of an overpass and turn it into a point. She is fast on the court with a great reaction time and shows great court IQ digging up balls in tight and off the net! She will tip if needed and locate a weak spot in the opposition with great ball control and placement. We lover her game play and energy on the court going all out!     Sarah plays with all heart on the court and gives 110% every set. She is a fast player with a strong drive and the perfect skill set to match. She can dig up tight balls from the net into play; will get balls that seem lost back into the court, has a great swing to place shots anywhere on the court and is fast in her transitions following the play with eyes on the ball at all times! She has a great readiness stance and shows excellent court IQ to make plays happen. She is vocal on the court and covers her teammates well. She is high energy and comes to play!
