About Skyler

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’ve played competitive volleyball for four years. After playing middle blocker for the past three seasons, I’m now playing right side and bring strong blocking, good court awareness, and a competitive attitude to my game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hardworking and positive teammate who always brings energy to the court. I stay coachable, support my teammates, and try to improve every time I play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Juniors Honor Society, Medical Magnet Program at PHUHS

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball I’ve developed strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. Being part of a competitive team has taught me how to support my teammates, stay positive, and work hard to reach our goals together.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I’ve faced is adjusting to new roles on the team and continuing to improve as the competition gets stronger. It has helped me become more adaptable and motivated to keep getting better.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can compete in volleyball while also focusing on strong academics. I’m interested in going into the medical field, so I’m hoping to find a school with strong science programs and support for students pursuing medical careers.
