Who Could Be Next?

TPV 16 Maverick is out of Franklin, Tennessee with a high powered lineup and balance across every position. Their middle blockers are so fun to watch patrol the net. Jordan Robinson and Shaun Waller cause a lot of problems for their opponents with their block and how they can transition out of their block to be offensive threats. They also have the top player out of the Prep Dig Kentucky Class of 2028 rankings in outside hitter Chayse Gilliland. They took home the title from 17 USA at the Sunshine Classic and will be heading to Lone Star this weekend. I was able to see them compete courtside at MEQ and there is such an explosive style to their game. They were on the wrong end of a 2-1 three way tie in day two gold pools which left them out of bid contention. Tough break for this team, but they still have plenty left to prove this season.

1st Alliance 16 Gold will look to defend their home turf at the Windy City Qualifier this upcoming weekend. The Chicago club was a gold bracket team at Triple Crown in February and recently finished just outside of a bid at the Northeast Qualifier in Philly. Tatum Kelly is one of the top setters in the Class of 2028 to keep tabs on where she is so dynamic. They will have the number three overall seed heading into Windy City this weekend.

KC Power 16-1 was just outside of getting a bid when they went to the Boston Qualifier and then ran into a gauntlet at the Mideast Qualifier. They will be back in action at the Windy City Qualifier this upcoming weekend where there are seven open qualified teams in this field. Mya Lee is the top ranked player out of Kansas in the Class of 2028 and will be one to watch score points from the outside and backrow. The Kansas City area is once again loaded in the 16s field with Dynasty and MAVS already getting an open bid this season.

MKE Sting 16 Gold is always in the hunt for an open bid year in and year out. They have been so close their past two qualifiers being in contention in the final round at the Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis and NEQ in Philly. Tegan Loechler is the top player in Prep Dig Wisconsin's Class of 2028 where she is a setter/right side combo player. They will also be at the Windy City Qualifier and could have another shot on day three if things go their way.
