About Arleengton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my play style as positive, competitive, and a leader on the court. As a setter, I like to run the offense, keep everyone involved, and bring energy to my team. I stay calm under pressure, communicate well, and make smart decisions to help my hitters succeed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality as consistent, positive, and hardworking. I stay engaged no matter the score and always try to keep a good attitude on the court. I don't get down after mistakes and instead focus on the next play while encouraging my teammates and helping keep the team's energy up!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I have been involved in different school clubs and activities throughout the years. I participated in Math is Cool and was part of the Highly Capable/ABLE program for the gifted students in elementary school. I have also consistently received Student of the Month awards throughout my school years. In sports, I received the Sportsmanship Award on my softball team three years in a row.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through both school and community activities. I have taken leadership courses, help run kids camps at church every summer, and volunteer cooking meals at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. These experiences have taught me how to work well with others, lead by example, stay positive, and support people in my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been blessed to not face any major challenges personally, but I have watched members of my immediate family go through health challenges, and losing my grandpa was very hard. Those experiences have taught me to stay strong, focused, and grateful. I lean on my relationship with Jesus, keep a positive mindset, and continue to focus on my purpose, family, and being there for others.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers the best academic, athletic and social experience, for me!
