Standouts at 1st Alliance Lions Jrs Spring Classic

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This weekend I had a chance to check out the 1st Alliance/Lions Jrs Spring Classic tournament. I was at the 1st Alliance training center, where I watched a lot of 15U club division! There were a lot of competitive teams and great competition. Below are some players who stuck out to me in different facets of the game. I saw her when just walking around, and she caught my eye. You can really hear it when she hits. Flicks that wrist, down spin on the ball, hard-hit balls. Big presence on the front line. Makes plays on offense and defense. Good reaction time and reflexes. Really good hands; just has really good control of her body for a younger tall big player. Really flicks that wrist and hits down on you. She had a confidence about her. Athletic build, really good soft hands as a setter. I saw her make all the sets, spreading the ball well across the court to hitters. Had a nice serve that comes hard over the tape of the net. She battles and is versatile. She is a lefty setter who makes all the sets. Athletic and makes plays everywhere on the court. Defensively, at the net, setting and hitting. She also does some hitting RS and really does a great job using her vertical and explosive swing. Made a lot of great plays defensively and is a really good passer. Has a good confidence about her, sure, and really to play. Sets her team up nicely from the back row with good passes to the setter so they can attack. She has a good feel for the game. Seemed to know where to be, wasn't frantic, and got to the right spots. She also had a good serve that got teams out of system a bit. Moved really well; anticipation was good. Watched her make good passes and play good D. She made an impact!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were a lot of players I saw who were ballin' out at the 1st Alliance spring classic. So much good talent, coaching ... and can tell a lot of reps are being put in! This is the time of year where you want to see teams getting it together for Nationals or end-of-the-year tournaments. Saw a ton of good volleyball. Watch for more names and another article of players who stood out at this tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
