Five Emerging Players to see at Junior Club Championship Showcase

A number of talented players will descend upon the Ohio state capital this weekend trying to put finishing touches on the club season, especially if the respective teams did not qualify for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis later in the month.    Adams (pictured) produces at all six spots on the court. Her 115-inch approach touch gives her a high attack point allowing her to hit over blocks. She attacks holes in double blocks and seams relentlessly. Adams has a nice mixture of hard and off shots. She will continue to improve each time she takes the court with her work ethic.     Lowman has really improved her range and passing during club season playing some libero for the 16A team. Lowman reads hitters well and squares her body up to balls with a steady platform. She tracks down a lot of balls, yet remains under control. Lowman makes a lot of the simple passes trying to get 16A and Ashland into a good rhythm. Lowman takes minimal steps before stopping to get to balls. She uses her setting experience at the libero spot to make quality out of system sets. Lowman has shown her effectiveness at setter with her ability to spread balls out to different hitters. She puts balls at high attack points with her quick hands and does not lock her arms.     The lefty delivers sets with great precision and accuracy. She reacts quickly on balls to keep[ plays alive. Templeman has shown she can execute a variety of short and long sets, including the back sets with little lean. Her sets often go forward toward the net with great arc. Templeman also delivers a nice jump float serve that paints back lines.     Hansberger does a great job getting on top of balls and powering them to the ground with a great downward trajectory. Hansberger's approach, extention and finish create that power. Hansberger uses her great size to hit balls over and around blocks. Hansberger makes good out of system swings and angles balls off blocks for big points. Hansberger mixes in good off shots from the pins.     Stephens has exceptional size and athleticism and the teams try to take full advantage of that net presence. Stephens is also a stout blocker. Stephens is especially tough on quicks. She goes up strong then adjusts her arms and hands to balls to swat them down. Opponents can't go soft on her. Her versatility shows at all six spots on the court. Stephens makes the simple passes in the back row. Stephens has quick hands, allowing her to react quickly to keep plays alive and make quality out of system sets. Stephens also sends overpassed balls to the ground with authority.
