The annual all-star game gives many of the seniors from the latest graduating class one last game before entering college or the work world. For the juniors, it's a chance to again get used to the typically slower-paced high school game after months of playing at the club level. These five juniors made nice impressions at Dixie Heights on Wednesday.

Estep (pictured) showed off her versatility in helping Team D to two wins. Estep used her good hands to once again produce good sets, involving a number of hitters. Estep even took some solid off shots. Estep added a nice jump set to keep opponents out of system. Estep hopes to have a solid final season with her work ethic.

Kondik dominated both games when the team got into rhythm. The Cincinnati commit showed she is in mid-season form having faced great Open Division competition during club season. She puts great power into hits from the front and back row. Kondik has found ways to develop even sharper line and cross shots. Kondik delivered outstanding first touches and jump serves. Aside from the desire to make it back to the state championship with unfinished business and playing for a tradition-rich progam with the expectation, Kondik said she's always been to improve her game each time she takes the court. Kondik noted another motivation factor in the desire to take steps forward is everyone around players want the same thing.

Cheek displayed great leadership skills on the court. She always told teammates where to hit balls and not only anticipated well, but also called out where she thought balls were headed. Cheek has improved her range, displaying the type of relentless hustle on defense Cooper is known for. Cheek made a number of out quality out of system sets.

Marks steps to balls, plants her feet toward targets and makes great passes with a nice platform. Marks communicates well on defense. She makes sure to advance into secondary positions when teammates call for balls. Marks positions herself nicely behind blockers and provides good net backup.
