Week 1 is officially in the books for both the Catoosa and Claremore summer leagues. We were in attendance for both and got to see plenty of action at each locations. New faces to programs, new mix of players and a new matchups across the net. Let's take a look at seven players who did a great job and performed well for their respective team.

[player_tooltip player_id='963244' first='Bella' last='Brown']- 2029 Outside Hitter for Claremore Seq. Bella has had a great club season under head coach, Tanna Smith. Her all around play has elevated, especially with her passing and attacking. She is a legitimate playmaker that will help balance the offense for the Eagles.

Alyssa Shetty- 2027 Outside Hitter for Glenpool. She has some real power in her swing and not squared to use it even in out of system scenarios. She demands a double block at all times. With the graduation of multiple big time hitters, Shetty may be just the person called on to step in and keep the Warriors offense rolling.

[player_tooltip player_id='797653' first='Payden' last='Prows']- 2028 Defensive Specialist for Oologah. Payden did a great job of flying around in the back row for the Mustangs. When a play was kept alive via dig, you could almost bank on Payden being in the mix. Look for this upperclassmen to help guide them this season.

Emmyn Gibson- 2028 for Claremore Seq. Reigning County MVP still doing MVP type things. Anything from a great diving dig to a sneaky cut shot for a kill, Emmyn can do. With more weapons emerging, less pressure will be on her to make all the plays. This will allow her to play more free and be more productive.

Jayli Tanner- 2029 Right Side Hitter for Oologah. Super athletic and young. She is definitely a player to keep an eye on down the road. If her skills continue to develop and she gains the in game experience, she would be a big part of the team's success as an upperclassman.

Cam Allen- 2029 Middle Blocker for Glenpool. Much like Shetty, she has some real power in her swing. When the Warriors were passing well and getting their middles involved, they were tough to slow down. She transitioned well and had great timing with her setter. She made multiple timely plays when her team needed a kill.

Liv Thomason- 2030 Middle Blocker for Oologah. Liv was very impressive as an incoming freshman. She ran multiple 1 and 3 type sets and had plenty of power too. If yesterday was her starting point, watch out for when she gets to her ceiling. She will gain a ton from in game experience at this level and may have a chance at all conference type awards early in her career.
