MN 6A: Small Town Standouts to Watch This Fall

In this section, you'll find schools like Underwood, Battle Lake, and Pelican Rapids all competing in what is a mix of well coached and talented athletes. Last year, they finished 15-10 with her contributing 151 kills and 76 digs. Roering plays a well rounded game that makes her one of BBE's top players. The powerful outside hitter put up impressive numbers last season with 222 kills, 241 digs, and 47 aces. She's competitive, plays with confidence, and is just as effective in the back row as she is attacking at the net. As a freshman, she earned Second Team All Conference honors in the Little 8 Conference while helping lead her team to a successful year. She finished the season with 170 kills, 256 digs, and 30 aces. Whether she's passing in serve receive, digging balls on the defensive end, or terminating balls from the pins, Martinek contributes in every aspect of the game. Anchoring the backcourt, her efforts earned her First Team All Little 8 Conference and established her as one of the top liberos in section 6A. She finished with 214 kills, 220 digs, and 26 aces, showing she will go the extra mile and contribute on both offense and defense. She's a hard working player who sees the court well and seems to have a knack for finding way to score for her team. As the program looks to build on last year's 8–18 record, Hovland's effort and consistent, solid play will be a big part of their upcoming season's success.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
