Five 2030s that will for sure make initial Watch List

There are more than 50 players on the watch list now and that list continues to grow. Some players earn the opportunity to play on varsity in junior high, but it's tough to do playing for a state power. That is a big reason why some Prep Dig Scouts do not rank classes until after their sophomore seasons. These five will certainly be on the initial watch list when it comes out Monday. She's started at libero for 14th Region power Letcher County Central since entering the seventh grade and has amassed 893 digs before even entering high school. Adams brings great energy and enthuiasm to the court every time out. Adams keeps good eyes on opposing hitters and does what she can to beat balls to their spots on the court. Adams dives when needed, showing she can make pancake digs when needed. However, she makes routine first touches with ball control that's improved over her career. Adams executes both overhead and underhand passes with precision. Adams has also developed a solid jump float serve that produces a lot of points. Adams finished second on the team with 83 aces in the fall, helping Letcher County Central go 20-15 and drive back to the region semifinals.     Walker gives a young Bryan Station team a solid hitter to build around this fall. Walker has a great approach, extension and finish on her attacks. She mixes in nice off shots on go routes to keep defenses guessing. Walker also takes sound swings in the middle. Walker is not afraid to take big rips when the team is out of system. Walker needs work on her blocking, but that will come with her work ethic.     Curtis takes solid rips for 14 Red, especially on go routes. She has developed a quick arm swing with a number of repetitions over the years and can mix in nice off shots. She is a huge force at the net with good blocking form. She continues to add in more shots to her took kit to make things more difficult on defenses.     Bennett has incredible maturity for her age. She's very coachable. Bennett played up an age group during club season to improve her overall game speed. Bennett takes solid rips in the middle and pins. She shoves balls toward lines and taps overpassed balls to open spots on the floor. Bennett makes a lot of things happen on ones. Bennett also mixes in soft shots to corners. She hits off double blocks for big points, but also rises up with a good vertical to take swings before double blocks form.     Abrams (pictured) is a bright young setter. She makes good decisions on where to set balls. She executes a variety of sets, including ones. Abrams takes good swings when needed. Abrams also possesses a good defensive platform on her first touches. That leads to continuous sound offensive rhythms.
