Walker has grown more confident throughout the club season and it is showing on the court. Walker is playing all-around for the club team. Reps 15 Blue head coach Kelly Goodwin described Walker as an exceptional athlete and hard worker. Walker has a great approach to the net, gets on top of balls then uses a good wrist snap to power them hard to the ground. Walker can also pound balls off blockers for big points. Walker’s passing has also come around during club season.

Tylah Walker Tylah Walker 5'9" | OH/MB Bryan Station | 2030 KY has grown into a player that you know is going to succeed at the next level. She plays with an amazing attitude taking direction well and applying to her raw ability which is abundant. She follows the game moving quickly with good reflexes and puts herself in the best possible spot to make that connection with the setter and make kills. She has an impressive vertical with a fantastic approach and a quick release getting on top of the ball to get a fantastic downward trajectory. She is equally impressive on the block solo or in tandem with excellent height and timing and can dig a ball up that seems lost as she plays a full rotation. Her serves are mean, she is an enthusiastic player and supports her teammates well. Star power!

Walker has turned into a sound hitter for the Defenders. Her court awareness helps her make plays many her age do not. She pounds balls down hard to different parts of the court with a solid arm swing. Walker’s athleticism also comes in handy on blocks and first touches. Walker will be a dominant force in the 11th Region if she continues at the pace she’s going now.

Tylah is forging her path to success in a big way! She has raw talent in multiple layers and plays with confidence unfound to most at her age. She is focused on her game and has exceptional court IQ and contributes to her team greatly. She has a presence on the court wanting to make those plays and calls out to get them, and delivers. She has excellent mechanics through footwork, to arms wing, to release and contact that rack up multiple points! She has an amazing vertical powered from a fast approach, moves easily on the court to position herself well and provides good cover to her teammates. She has good timing on her block and reacts to get there for a dig. We love her play, she is the real deal!
