A middle for Johnson High School and Alamo 17 Premier, Awagu appears in 24th place among the players in her position and 88th overall in our State Rankings. She’s physical enough to dominate the net on both sides of the ball and does that, providing a viable scoring option down the middle and a solid blocking presence for her team. Awagu is big and strong and can hit different sets, but perhaps the most noticeable aspect of her offense is her incredible footwork, which gives her the ability to have very quick sets. When blocking, she reads the game well and fully trusts her instincts to make moves above the net.
