Connor hammered her way to a sweep in the state championship match against Mt. Spokane; the Cal Poly beach commit has excellent length and a heavy arm swing that few 3A opponents could handle. It was great to see a high-profile beach player keep bringing it with her high school squad throughout her career. Conner was named the 3A State Player of the Year for her efforts.

Conner dominated the play in both the semi-finals and the final. Her 6’2″ length and combination of power and accuracy were too much for either Prairie or Mt. Spokane to counter. Last season, Ridgeline kept sending tall, experienced blockers at the Cal Poly beach commit, eventually making just the right adjustments to squeak out a five-set victory. Conner left no doubt this year, racking up kills early and often in the semis and the final. There was no stopping the Rams and Conner on their mission to complete the run to the championship.

Conner will play beach volleyball at Cal Poly, and she will be working her power game indoors at least one more time in the Sun Dome. North Thurston finished just short last season, dropping the championship match to Ridgeline in a terrific battle. Conner has outstanding range on her shots; she finds angles and can work off of high hands or punish smaller blockers right over the top. Her all-around skills are excellent; all the touches she has accumulated in the sand show up when she has to make a play or deal with an unexpected bounce. Conner will be working hard to finish with a title in her senior year.

Conner was North Thurston’s primary hammer; she played with excellent vision, seeing the block and finding open seams to thunder down kills. Ridgeline ran multiple blockers and attackers with size at the Rams and Conner, finally slowing her down enough to take a five-set victory in the championship match. Her size and strong overall game will make her a difference-maker on the beach at Cal-Poly.

Conner is crushing it indoors for North Thurston after her verbal commitment to play sand at Cal-Poly. The week she was honored, she averaged seven kills a game and totaled 42 in just six games. Her length and explosive scoring ability give the Rams a terminal attacker as they head into the postseason.

Connor has the length of a top-level pin at 6 foot 1, and her overall skills have been enhanced by her play on the beach. Her ceiling as an attacker is extremely high as she has plenty of time to add power, and she is very technically sound. Connor will need to carry much of the load as an attacker for North Thurston this season, she has a nice selection of shots in her bag to produce big numbers for the Rams.

Conner has tremendous length and a high-level feel for the game. She has an overall floor game that is fundamentally sound, her tremendous amount of touches as a beach athlete show in her ball control and reads when she plays defense. Her pipe attack is strong, she moves the ball around to avoid the big blocker that rises in the middle. Conner can score from the pin using a power game with a high contact point, and she has a variety of roll shots and tips in her toolbox as well.

One of the great things, among many, about Connor is that she is in no way a finished product. Long and lean at 6’1, she will continue to get stronger and increase the different shots in her toolbox. She already is unafraid to hammer the line and runs a quick tempo attack when Dakine is firing on all cylinders. Connor is a willing and eager defender, her beach experience is evident in how comfortable she is in a variety of defensive situations. All the tools are in place for Connor to have a huge sophomore season and be one of the top-ranked pins in Washington for 2026.

The North Thurston athlete has a great reach at 6’1, and she is the go-to option when Dakine needs a crucial kill. She has a smooth approach and excellent hands and a feel for the game. She competes on the beach, and the crossover shows on the indoor side. Connor keeps her footwork sound and attacks the set in front where her terrific sense of the block allows her to find openings.
