Addy is a highly athletic and explosive middle. She has a ton of raw talent and improves in massive leaps every time I see her play. Her slide is absolutely lethal. Addy really sets herself apart in her discipline across the court. She is smooth and quick in transition and identifies early the best plays to run. She is equally as impactful in front of the setter as she is behind, which makes her that much harder to read.

Addy Oldenberg has been on the Prep Dig radar the past two seasons and most recently had a strong showing at the Wisconsin Exposure Tour. She is a strong basketball player as well which her athleticism and physicality is very apparent when she plays middle blocker. Her anticipation, lateral quickness, and explosiveness wis what sets her apart from others at her position. Her ceiling is high and her best volleyball is ahead of her. She will suit up for Elevate out of Tomah, Wisconsin where this club has been on the rise the past few seasons.

She is competitive and savvy, with great form and confidence in her abilities, a dangerous combination. Addy has all the pieces of a great middle and could be an athlete who continues to rise in the rankings over the next two years.

Oldenburg is a force out of the middle. Standing at 6’1″, this girl can move. She is fast and has strong lateral movements while reading the ball quickly and it shows. She led West Salem with an astounding 97 blocks on the high school season. Addy will play for FEVA this club season and I am excited to see the impact she has on the team.

Addy was explosive and impactful throughout the Expo. She caught every Scout’s eye and was just dominant. Her block was a consistent brick wall at the net. I had notes on her during warm-ups, and it didn’t stop there. She put up huge swings out of the middle and was engaged in every play. Even with all of the work the middles put in at an event like the Expo, Addy was dominating until the very last play.

Oldenburg has a lot of length to work with and she finds a way to get the ball through the block when it is going full blast or using an offspeed swing. She has a good vertical and a solid foundation of fundamentals to go along with clean blocking form. Oldenburg is aggressive at the net and works hard to be active during every play.

Addysen has so many advantages as a middle. She is physical, quick, and very disciplined. Her swings were well-placed and powerful, and she was always ready in transition. She also adjusted very well to different setters—something that is incredibly tough to do.

Addy Oldenburg is a Class of 2027 middle blocker to keep tabs on. As 15s player, she is 6’1, and has a really strong presence in the front row. She has great mobility that allows her to put up a big block and transition to be available as an attacker. She preps at West Salem High School just East of La Crosse. This Xtreme VBC Squad has a very balanced squad where they had a big March and will look to continue their momentum into Milwaukee this weekend.
