‘s game. She takes charge in the back row, reading attackers and providing out-of-system sets when needed. Recently, she has been focusing on sharpening her out-of-system locations and even adding back sets to the outside to create more offensive options. Coaches and teammates praise her energy, speed, and volleyball IQ, recognizing her ability to lead through her play and her presence. Aila explained, “There’s nothing I love more than making people laugh, my teammates, coaches, refs, opponents, and any stranger that looks my way.” Her ability to balance leadership and joy makes her an invaluable teammate. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

Aila is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is definitely on my watch list to be added soon with what I saw at the showcase. She plays volleyball for Pitman High School and also plays for the NorCal volleyball club program. Everything about Miss Reich screams leadership. You can see it when she talks to her teammates and how she carries herself both on the sidelines and while playing in the back row. From what I see about her, she was born to play the game of volleyball. I am not sure if she was taught to constantly communicate or if that is just her nature, but regardless, it is a welcome trait for any college coach. Her form and technique is picture perfect when she passes serve or digs a hard driven ball. Every angle was precise and led her setter forward so that she could set in system. Equipped with fast-twitch muscle fibers, she was able to change direction very quickly in order to stay balanced and play the ball with great form. The way she moves on the court and plays the ball in the back row tells me that she once played some front row when she was younger. I With her great size and frame, she is able to cover a lot more ground than your shorter libero. I would strongly recommend every college coach to give her a look as she can absolutely ball in the back row. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
