Aileen Nimijan put together an outstanding performance on the right side, proving why she’s one of the most intriguing front-row players in the Class of 2028. Her blocking was exceptional throughout the showcase, consistently pressing over the net and making life difficult for opposing hitters. She read the game well, communicated effectively with her setters, and made smart adjustments as the day progressed.

Offensively, Aileen was just as impressive. She showcased a fast, efficient approach, a quick arm swing, and the ability to tool blockers or find open court with confidence. Her combination of size, timing, and volleyball IQ makes her a complete right-side attacker who impacts the game on both sides of the net. We’re excited to watch her carry that momentum into the high school season and continue her development.

For Aileen Nimijan, volleyball has always been rooted in connection.

The excitement surrounding Summer NIT has very little to do with individual recognition and everything to do with competing alongside teammates she genuinely enjoys being around. Energy, chemistry, and shared experiences seem to drive much of what she values most about the sport.

That team-first mindset does not diminish her ambition.

Playing at the highest level remains one of her long-term goals, and Summer NIT provides an opportunity to compete against the type of teams that can reveal where growth is happening and where it is still needed.

There is an openness to the way Aileen approaches both volleyball and life. New experiences, new challenges, and opportunities to step outside her comfort zone are things she appears to embrace rather than avoid.

Aileen Nimijan Aileen Nimijan 6'1" | RS/MB AZ is one of the most impactful front-row players in her age group, and it’s easy to see why.
