About Alaysia
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play with intensity and focus, always looking for ways to score and support my team. I’m aggressive at the net and never back down from a challenge. My gameplay is smart and calculated. I focus on reading the court, making quick decisions, and placing the ball where it counts. I bring energy to every game. I communicate well with my teammates, hustle on every play, and do what it takes to win.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a focused, competitive mindset and always give my best on and off the court. I stay positive through tough games, encourage my teammates, and use every challenge as a chance to grow.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Outside of volleyball, I stay involved in school and my community. I’ve received awards for academic achievement, and I enjoy participating in volunteer activities and helping others whenever I can. I believe being a well-rounded student-athlete is just as important as performing on the court.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through volleyball, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. I’ve learned how to communicate effectively with my teammates, stay focused under pressure, and lead by example both on and off the court. I also value giving back to my community and helping others whenever I can. These experiences have taught me responsibility, confidence, and the importance of a positive attitude.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was learning how to balance school, sports, and personal life. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s helped me become more organized, focused, and determined. I’ve also faced moments of doubt or tough losses on the court, but those experiences pushed me to work harder and grow stronger mentally and physically.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that values both academics and athletics. I want to be part of a competitive volleyball program where I can continue to grow as a player, while also getting a great education. A positive team culture, strong coaching staff, and supportive campus environment are really important to me.
