About Alba

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an agile, quick-thinking Libero/defensive specialist with a strong focus on ball control and communication. I pride myself on reading the game effectively, diving for every ball, and setting up my team for counterattacks with smart, consistent defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hardworking and driven athlete with a positive mindset. Even as an 8th grader stepping into high school volleyball, I’ve embraced challenges and shown resilience by making both the JV and varsity teams. I thrive under pressure, am always eager to learn and improve, and believe in supporting my teammates on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong teamwork and communication skills as a Libero on my volleyball team, while my academic achievements—maintaining a 4.0 GPA and ranking 1st among 434 eighth graders—have honed my discipline and work ethic. These experiences have built my resilience, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers a strong academic program paired with competitive athletic opportunities, especially in volleyball. I value a supportive community where I can grow as a leader, excel academically, and continue developing my skills as an athlete.
