Aldyn brought so much hustle to every drill. The word “help” did not seem to be in her vocabulary. And even when she was running down the toughest balls, she was able to better the play for her team. I was very impressed with Aldyn’s consistent ability to control the pace of the game in a clean and efficient way while still playing with massive hustle and grit. She is a setter who could quickly identify strategic sets on the court and execute them seamlessly. She also was aggressive on defense.

Visner was on fire this weekend. She has a quick release and high window which allows her to run not only a fast offense, but makes it hard for defenders to read her and keep up with her. Visner is also one of those setters with an excellent setter IQ. She knows who to feed and when and also how to get all of her attackers involved and contributing on the court. Teams would be lucky to have Visner running their offense.

Visner also had a great day running the offense for Wisconsin Elite. Visner jump sets with ease, has great setting hands that help her deliver balls with no spin, and knows how to isolate her hitters. One of Visner’s biggest strengths however is her consistency. For a young setter, her consistency is much higher than you typically see at this age level.

Visner found herself getting some reps on the varsity floor this year at Catholic Memorial. She dished out over 100 assists and averaged 3.6 assists per set. Visner is versatile in her set selection. She can push the ball to the pin, run her middles, and can also set tempo. Visner is bringing her skills to Wisconsin Elite Volleyball and I anticipate her team will be poised to do great things at the PrepDig Resolution with her at the helm.

Aldyn is a showstopper of a setter. She runs the court like an athlete years older than she is. She has great fundamentals and a high volleyball IQ. She is confident and is a solid leader under pressure. She caught my eye numerous times at the Freshman Showcase and could be a key player for CMH this year.
