Lanz has turned into a solid force in the middle for both Rising Heights and Bethlehem. She quickly rises up and smacks down quicks well before opponents can get hands on the balls. Lanz also excels at gap shots. Defensively, Lanz gets hands on balls on blocks attempts to slow down balls for defensive specialists, if not downright rejecting them. Expect Lanz to add even more weapons from her took kit to keep defenses guessing this fall.

Lanz (pictured) does a great using size and vertical reach to control the net for the Banshees. Lanz takes ones and gaps then deposits balls to different zones on the court. She especially has a tough shot to the left and right lines. Sound defensive specialists have a hard time digging her up. Lanz mixes in soft touches to keep defenses guessing. Lanz has a sound serve and does a good job winning jousts. Lanz also forms good double blocks. Lanz had 290 kills, 93 solo blocks, 27 assisted blocks, 79 digs and 57 aces in the fall, helping Bethlehem go 28-9, win the All “A” 5th Region crown, the first 19th District title since 2021 and make it to the 5th Region semifinals for the second straight year.

Lanz played a big role in the 11-win improvement for the Banshees this past fall. Lanz lands a variety of hits from the middle, pins and creases including hard shots to the back line and soft taps to the shallow lines. Lanz can power balls through double blocks. Lanz is also a sound blocker and server for the Banshees. Lanz had a team-high 267 kills to go with 60 aces, 82 solo blocks and 11 assisted blocks, helping Bethlehem go 17-11 and make it to the 5th Region semifinals.
