A fourth Sweet Sixteen blocker from the 2028 class that moved up in the rankings. Alexis stands 6’3″ so she has the height to impact the offense. It also benefits her on the defensive end as well. Alexis is one of the main players Blue Ridge relies on for offense.
Blue Ridge will compete in the American Division in the junior nationals, unless they can snag a higher bid in the Qualifiers.
Alexis moved up from 24 to 20 in the class of 2028 based on her improvement in her offensive game.

At 6’3″ she can reach her arms high over the net. Her older sister played right side, but she swung left handed, an awkward swing for a middle. Alexis led the team in blocks and hitting percentage while also placing third in kills.
For Blue Ridge she is one of their top offensive players. While the 15 and 14 team earned USA bids in the Sun Shine classic the 16 team fell short. However, they played March 21st in the Chesapeake Regional Bid Championship to earn an American bid.
Alexis older sister Samantha committed to IU-Pennsylvania. Alexis started playing volleyball much earlier than her older sister giving her a more complete game.

Good middles can be difficult to find but Alexis easily brings the tools needed to play the position. She dominates the game with her reach, giving her the ability to tip over blocks to find the open areas of the court. She can also put some pop on the ball when the timing is right.
In high school she played for the West Virginia school Spring Mills. Like Mandella, she led her team in hitting percentage and blocks. She also finished third in kills.
Alexis older sister also played for Spring Mills and Blue Ridge to pave a path for Alexis to follow.

Looking for a big, effective middle, Alexis can certainly do the job. Another 6’2″ Blue Ridge player who plays high school ball in West Virginia. Her older sister Samantha Stephens started the volleyball train rolling, but Alexis success links back to her earlier start in volleyball.
While her sister swung left handed and for the most part hit right side, Alexis remains entrenched in the middle. She is a force to be reckoned with. When Blue Ridge needs a critical kill Alexis is normally their choice to feed.
For Spring Mills she led her team in blocks, hitting percentage while also finishing third in kills. What is most impressive about Alexis play is her maturity. She doesn’t allow any error to phase her and keeps battling to score points.
