A recent transfer from Georgia, Alina is a springy and lengthy right side that could play either pin at the next level. Fluid in her transition and tough on the attack, Miss Phillips uses her constant motor and disciplined footwork to get to each and every set and make it better than how she received it. Not one to make errors, Alina’s ability to hit all angles in all possible situations allows her and her squad to be successful whenever she touches the ball.

Found on NIVA’s 17 Purple squad, Alina is a homeschooled springy right side that recently transferred to us in the Hoosier State. Able to hit any angle in any tempo and any area along the net, Miss Phillips prides herself on her athleticism and quickness to beat most blocks, and attacks high enough that bigger blocks get punished for being undisciplined. I haven’t seen enough of her back row play to make an evaluation there, but on her front row play alone, she’s worth the watch.
