An adept six rotation outside, Kambria is one of those ball control outsides that seemingly every championship program has. Her ability to be anything from that six-rotation outlet outside to a three-rotation defensive specialist gives variety in her game that is highly marketable and useful for the next level. Her court vision is also solid—-being undersized for her position, she can see openings in the block that can score points for her squad, regardless of the situation.

Compact and explosive, Kambria is a six-rotation outside through and through. She does a little of everything well, as evidenced by Chris Fitzgerald, another of our esteemed scouts here at PrepDig. For me, her explosiveness allows her to overcome her smaller stature, and has every shot in the book to prove how she can overcome her size. Defensively, she’s a controlled passer with active feet, leading me to believe that she can just as easily be a DS at the next level as well as a six-rotation outside for a small college.

I had notes on Kambria Santiesteban-Burns from the Central Zone Invite in Indianapolis at the end of January where her NIVA 16 Purple team made it to the Saturday afternoon gold pools. Santiesteban-Burns has a true all around game where she can do a little bit of everything really well as a six rotation outside hitter. Her defense is a major highlight to her game as well as her ability to score points. They will be in the hunt in St. Louis, this is a loaded 16s field and the first two days of pool play will be a gauntlet.
