Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
Like her teammate Sydney Turner, her play as a setter led Boonsboro to a state championship, their first after more than 40 years. She will also play with teammate Sydney at Liberty Elite. Setting her team to a championship moved her up in the rankings from 133 to 110.
At 5’5″ she is probably best used in a 6’2″. She will play for Liberty Elite this year. They will play in the Volley by the James this weekend as well as the Capitol Hill Classic and the Northeast Qualifier.

She lists at 5’5″ but she plays taller. She sets a 6’2″ but stays in the front row to hit right side. Her left handed swing makes her a good fit for the right side. With a little more growth she could make a greater impact on the offense. She does have a nice little jump set so she could run a 5/1. Alyssa debuts at number 126 in our class of 2026.

Alyssa lists at 5’5″ but she certainly appears to play taller than that. She set a 6’2″ but stayed in the front row, showing some strong hitting ability from the right side. She swings left handed so the right side is a good fit for her. Last year it appears she started the season on the Boonsboro junior varsity but worked her way up to varsity. One of the setters for the varsity, Adyson Seymour Adyson Seymour 5'7" | S/OH Hedgesville | 2026 State VA was hitting left side for Liberty Elite. The other setter for Boonsboro has graduated. Alyssa is not yet ranked but that may change when rankings are updated in April.

Alyssa is currently playing for Liberty Elite VBC 16 National where she is filling up several roles as a setter and opposite. She has good vertical jump and arm reach; she was an important factor for her team during the Sunshine Classic Qualifiers. Alyssa can set the ball at different tempos, sha has a successful connection with the middles running several fast balls during the event. In addition, she is effective behind the serving line with a tough floating serve. She is a must follow for her class of ’26.
