Boonsboro won their second championship in school history this past year. It took them 40 years after the first one to achieve that. Sidney was one of the main drivers toward that championship run.

She first earned a spot in our rankings back in July of last year when she shined for Liberty Elite. Now, with her play in the championship run for Boonsboro she shoots up from 129 to 89.

Sidney brings some velocity to her hits. This could be assisted by her competition in track and field where she competes in the shot put. That will build up some strength.

Sydney will play club for Liberty Elite. They will play in the Volley by the James this weekend as well as Capitol Hill Classic and the Northeast Qualifiers.

We break our focus on setters to take a look at a talented middle in Sidney Turner Sidney Turner 6'0" | MB Boonsboro | 2026 State VA . She first came to our attention more than a year ago when she played for Liberty at the Shamrock festival. They took third place with their only loss coming against a talented Blue Ridge team that won the tournament. Sidney played an impressive middle to earn a spot in our rankings.

Now she has gotten Boonsboro to a state championship. They have not won one since 1984. They did reach the finals in 2007 but lost to South Carroll. Ironic that Boonsboro eliminated South Carroll in a regional, beating them in five. For South Carroll it was their only loss of the season.
