Bathchman shared setting duties for the undefeated Class 2A State Champion Ellinwood Eagles. She has registered back-to-back seasons with at least 400 assists. This past season, she recorded 457 assists, 206 digs, and 177 kills in 100 sets played. Ellinwood will graduate its top two hitters this spring, so it will be interesting to see how Batchman’s role may change next season. She could be a full-time setter, a full-time attacker, or continue to share setting duties. Regardless, she will be expected to continue to be a court leader for the Eagles. She is ranked No. 24 overall.
