and left side Jaylen Burgess. Amaya is another 5’7″ left side that fires off rockets with her right arm. She also impressed at the Prep Dig national showcase in Dallas as she showed off her athleticism and her deep “toolbox”. Amaya climbed from 128 to 108 in the class of 2026 rankings.
Last year Amaya finished fourth in kills for Dominion. With the top three hitters graduating she should contribute more to the team, however, she needs to improve on her .189 hitting percentage.

Amaya caught my eye initially because of her beautiful cross-court cut shot. She could consistently earn points with that hit, and it was a key tool in her toolbox of swings. As I continued to watch Amaya play, I was also impressed with how well-rounded the rest of her offense was and how deep that toolbox ran. She was relentless on offense and an athlete with a massive amount of potential.

Amaya is a smaller left side who earned a top performer award at the Prep Dig Stock up showcase in Maryland. That earned her a bump up from 143 to 109 in the rankings.
She plays for the Paramount 15 second team, which did not make it to the Junior Nationals. While her height is only 5’7″ she does bring an approach jump of 9’3″. Realistically, staying on the outside with her stature will be a challenge. Blocking is always a big issue with smaller outsides.
