About Amelia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play as a very focused and intense player who loves to succeed. I always give full effort, and I strive to create good relationships with my teammates, on and off of the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I do not let anything distract me from my goal of always improving, while making sure to still have fun playing the sport I love. I have a very positive mentality, and I always try to pass that on to my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in sports media club, where we try to film and acknowledge all of the sports at our high school. I am also involved in Key Club, helping to rase money and supplies for people in need. I also received a kindness award after my 8th grade school year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through playing on varsity as a freshman, I learned that not all leaders are loud, and some of the best leaders are the quieter ones. I have learned the best thing you can be is including to everyone and to always be humble.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am undersized for my position, so I have always had to work twice as hard. I have been told I am too short many times, and it has always been a goal of mine to prove to everyone that it is not the height of the player that matters, but the heart of the player.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has the major that I want to pursue, and is relatively small.

Hunting saw some good action for Summit Country Day, a Division V Ohio state semifinal squad. At 5’7, she creates good lift and uses a high arm swing to maximize her contact point. She was used through a variety of options during the 2025 season as she displayed good footwork and timing to be able to swing at the pins and through middle options.
