is on the court, you’ll receive nothing short of 100%. This undoubtedly comes with an abundance of communication, swift & non-stop movement, excellent passes, self-sacrifice, constant adjustments & Amelia has easily become the nucleus of this team. Amelia holds-the-huddle to centralize her team on the goal with an assertive approach and this is what you want & expect in a leader! I have watched Amelia’s growth for several seasons and if “I could do this all day” came as a description, this would be most applicable with Amelia! Colleges, Amelia is a “must add” to your 2027 recruiting list. She will definitely be a great asset to any college roster. – Anthony Jones (Prep Dig AJ)

is an absolute catalyst! A ball of fire that hustles to every corner of the court to cover and ensure the ball doesn’t hit the floor and you can count on an exuberant celebration at every kill by her team. Amelia’s excitement is second to none and her presence is necessary. Not only is she an efficient Lib, but her pre-play preparation, communication, passing ability, and effective sets propels her team for a very successful and point accruing offense. She presents a very strong and often effective serve and this will continue to be a great asset for this 2027 baller as she makes ready for the contact eligibility – Anthony Jones (Prep Dig AJ)

Amelia’s passing platform is so clean and textbook. She’s a disciplined passer but can get scrappy when she needs to. Her serve receive passing and out-of-system setting are next level. She brings awesome energy to the court and really owns her role as a defensive specialist/libero.

Amelia puts in considerable overtime outside of practice, and it shows! She’s a relentless hustler who goes after every ball with determination. She manages to keep the ball in play using forearms, overhand, or even one-handed saves in tough situations. Plus, she’s always ready to set out of system when needed. Her jump serve is impressive, does a lot of talking on the court and covering her hitters is second nature. This sophomore is having an outstanding season at Arbor View, and I’m excited to see her continued success in the club season.

Amelia is among the hardest-working liberos in the state. She is constantly working on her craft, whether through one-on-one sessions or open gym, yielding major results. Every time I watch her, she continues to impress with her excellent passing form and exceptional reading skills. This summer, she gained significant exposure through showcases, college camps, and summer volleyball with her club teammates. I have no doubt she will be impressive this school season.

To all the incoming freshman’s I’d try to be there early and focus on the things I can control like being loud, trying to demonstrate whenever the coaches need a player, being a good teammate by being encouraging to everyone around me no matter there skill level, and giving high fives. I’d also try not to put too much pressure on myself because at the end of the day I can’t control who the coach’s pick for there team so just play loose, natural and be confident. You got this!

Amelia shines as one of the premier liberos in her class, always pushing herself to excel on the court. She is really good at moving her feet to the ball on serves vs reaching, which ultimately helps her better the ball for her setter. With elite mechanics, agility and reading skills, the freshman demonstrates a genuine passion for playing libero. Scovell excels in digging tough attacks from opponents and passing tough float serves, significantly increasing her team’s chances at running a good play. Her contributions were instrumental in securing an impressive second place finish in the 15 open/premier division of the tournament.
