About Anna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I prefer a solid mix of power and finesse. Swinging hard to keep the defense on their heels and tipping to add the unpredictability against the block. I prefer both offensive and defense. Sharp angles are tough to defend and deep cross court shots keep defenders on their toes and hitting down. The line is unpredictable and can shut down the block.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a fun person who cares about people. I have a strong work ethic and I’m very determined until the end result. I have been called a calm leader. I tend to lead by example versus being directorial or bossy. I work well in a team as well as independently. I love life. I love hanging out with friends, family, and especially my dog Max.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I lettered academically this year. I also was recently accepted into my high schools National Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I believe I am a strong leader that can work independently as well as in a group. I tend to lead by example versus being directorial. I have a comb and cool attitude that seems to help people gravitate towards. I have been working on building my confidence on and off the court. I believe I am a positive role model for my peers and kids under me. I have learned to work with many different people.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had some injury’s that I worried would set me back. But they only made me want to train harder. This has helped develop determination and perseverance.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to college that meets my academic and athletic needs. I want a well-rounded place that suits me personally as an individual and all my uniqueness. I think the best option for me to in a college will be to find one that supports my passion and helping others and Allowing me to continue to grow as an athlete, professional and independent woman.
