About Ariella
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a libero, getting every ball up, being aggressive, and being a leader is my priority. I am a hardworking and dedicated athlete who trains with purpose, training with private lessons almost daily and consistently strength training in the gym. I am highly coachable, open to feedback, and always willing to try new things to improve my game and help my team succeed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a member of St. Thomas Aquinas National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. I have taken AP, Honors, and Scholars courses and am involved in several organizations, including the Medical Society Club, Shine a Light Club, and ASL Club for my school. I am also involved in Bright Young Girls, a community service organization serving those in need in the Las Vegas area.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have served the Las Vegas community by serving for the homeless and those in need. This has taught me to live life by helping others and working together and not just doing things as charity work.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My 16's season, I had gotten a concussion. It had taken me out for almost the rest of the season. I was able to play in our second to last SCVA tournament and at nationals in Dallas which was huge. I still had a lot of improvement to make from taking so much time off. I continued to ease back into volleyball despite my restrictions. I am now playing up on an 18's team.
