Tasi currently leads Gorman in hitting percentage and gives the Gaels an efficient option through the middle. Her production forces opposing blocks to respect more than just Gorman’s pin hitters.

Caira sees Summer NIT as an opportunity to compete against some of the nation’s top teams while showcasing the work her team has put in throughout the season. Earning an invitation is something she values highly, telling PrepDig Nevada,

“It means a lot, especially being able to be recognized and invited to a very competitive tournament with some of the top teams in the country.”

As her team prepares for the event, Caira expects coaches and spectators to see a talented group that is ready to compete at a high level and embrace the challenge of facing elite competition.

“A personal goal I set for myself is to put all the work in the gym on connection with my setters into game play, and working in staying in a competitive mindset throughout the entire tournament.”

Caira showed advanced court awareness throughout the showcase and consistently made smart decisions under pressure. She sees the floor well, tracks blockers, and attacks open space with intention instead of swinging just to swing. She said, “One of my strongest skills is my court awareness and seeing spots that are open on the court and making sure to attack those spots.” Rachel confirmed the same strength, sharing that Caira placed smart balls into deep corners, created scoring opportunities with range, and stayed composed in long rallies. At the net, she formed a strong block that closed lanes and elevated the level of her entire group.

She is focused on becoming a more reliable option in transition and is intentional about her communication with setters. She explained, “I’m working on always being an option and being audible for my setter so she knows where I am on the court.” Her goals for the season center on quick adjustment, team connection, and giving full effort every day. Off the court, she brings a fun competitive edge, sharing that she does not end family game night until she wins.
