About Ashley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As an all-around outside hitter, my gameplay style is both competitive and aggressive. While playing on the court can tend to get chaotic, I focus on making smart hitting decisions in the front and being a reliable passer in the back. I communicate, work hard, and stay focused during each game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality on the court is calm and disciplined. I focus on making smart decisions, communication, and staying calm in tough moments. I am leadership oriented. I work to be vocal, supportive, and competitive for myself and my team. Going into each game, I focus on setting the tone for my team through both effort and consistency. I am both hardworking and coachable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play in the Chisholm High School Band. I attend concerts, parades, pep band, and competitions. Our band also performs during the Memorial Day Service in our town. I am also a member of the National Honors Society (NHS) in High School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been one of the captains of the Chisholm Varsity volleyball team for two years. I am also a coach for our 5th grade Elementary volleyball program.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced different challenges throughout my high school career, but they have helped me to grow into who I am now. Balancing both school and volleyball has pushed me to work on my time management skills and staying disciplined. Working through both has taught me to be more focused and reliable as a classmate and athlete.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to any college.
