Please welcome Miss Nelson officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 79th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for San Clemente High School and also for the A4 Volleyball club. The Long Beach State commit is long, lean, and very hard to stop at the net. She contacts the ball at such a high point, that it is very difficult for any blocker to get a touch on it in order to slow it down. One of the best aspects of her offensive skill set is how she doesn’t need much space in order to approach and still be able to attack with power. While most attackers need to create a lot of momentum to get up as high as possible, she really uses her height and long arms in order to stay efficient during out of system plays. While a lot of taller players struggle with speed and athleticism, Ashton is blessed and super special. She moves around the court very fluidly and with tons of gracefulness. If you have not seen her yet, I strongly suggest that you give her a look this year and you will not be disappointed.
