Brooklyn Hill Brooklyn Hill 5'11" | S/RS San Clemente | 2029 CA has been building her recruiting résumé since before most of her peers started high school, having begun reaching out to college coaches and attending camps as early as the spring before eighth grade. That early start has paid off with conversations across Division I, II, and III programs and an unofficial recruiting visit already on her calendar. As a setter for San Clemente, her focus this spring has been getting more aggressive offensively, specifically learning to trust the second-ball dump instead of setting predictably every time. She’s already seeing how much more dangerous her offense becomes when defenders have to respect that threat. She’s always led by example through effort and competitiveness, but she’s come to understand that running an offense requires more: the vocal responsibility of keeping everyone connected on the court.

She showed a strong push on the ball and delivered consistent sets that kept her hitters in system, and she consistently looked to create one-on-one opportunities rather than settling for safe sets. Her decision-making and offensive awareness, combined with her commitment to her teammates, made her one of the stronger setters in the gym.

Her willingness to chase down shanked passes and still push a controlled ball to her hitters revealed a competitor who thrives in chaos. She ran a smooth offense with consistent tempo control and demonstrated strong connection on back sets, particularly in transition. Brooklyn Hill Brooklyn Hill 5'11" | S/RS San Clemente | 2029 CA is a 2029 setter already setting the tone for her high school career. This season, she’s focused on building rhythm and defensive consistency. “I’ve been working on setting tempo and defense,” she said. “Running a quicker offense and digging more balls are my priorities right now.”

Brooklyn is one of seven strong freshmen on San Clemente’s JV roster, backed by a tight-knit school and city community. “We have seven strong freshmen, three sophomores, and one junior. Our community is super supportive: ‘One Town, One Team.’”

She’s looking forward to a potential matchup with JSerra, where several of her former club teammates now play. Off the court, Brooklyn brings her own style, sharing that she loves clothes and shopping for new looks whenever she can.

Brooklyn Hill Brooklyn Hill 5'11" | S/RS San Clemente | 2029 CA is a quiet force with a strong motor. “What I love most about volleyball is watching myself grow in the sport,” she shared, and that perspective shapes the way she approaches the game. Her leadership shows in her work ethic. She’s always giving maximum effort and setting the tone with her focus. Right now, Brooklyn is working on staying out of her own head during challenging moments, knowing that composure is key to high-level play.

One of her proudest memories came in the semifinals in Reno, where she served 10 straight balls in the third set to close out the win for her team. That moment reflects her grit and ability to stay locked in under pressure. Off the court, Brooklyn’s creativity shines through, and she finds balance spending time with friends and family. With her mindset and motor, Brooklyn is a setter on the rise.
