O’Hare was undoubtedly one of Nebraska’s most versatile players in the senior class. She anchored Gothenburg as a rare backcourt setter and frontcourt middle blocker, racking up monster stats in every category. That even includes aces, where O’Hare posted a team-high 71 in 101 sets. The Swedes have been the model of consistency behind so much of this impactful serving.

O’Hare defines the versatility we mentioned in the opener. Throughout Gothenburg’s three-year postseason stint, O’Hare has played as a rare setter-middle who led the Swedes in a host of statistical categories. Players of that mold don’t come around often, and O’Hare deserves a lot of props for ushering in Gothenburg’s greatest stint of volleyball success in program history.

O’Hare has one of the most unique roles of any player that we’ll feature on this series. She’s included in the setter feature, but she also played some middle blocker in the frontcourt to supplement her back row setter role for Gothenburg. That fascinating dichotomy took centerstage at the state championships last year, and I can’t wait to see O’Hare light up the stat sheet again.
