Gaines executes on a number of long and short sets. Gaines paints back lines with flat consistency. Gaines is also a sound blocker. Gaines had 134 kills, 53 assisted blocks and 24 solo blocks to help the Spartans go 20-11 on the season.

Gaines gives the Spartans nice play in the middle. She has a quick arm swing and has great timing on her blocks. Gaines has shown she can handle sound swings from great hitters. She is not afraid to shove balls off blocks for points. Gaines had 134 kills and 77 blocks for South Warren this past fall.
