Presswood’s experience at the libero spot showed up big time. She has good range constantly hustling after balls but digging them up under control. She successfully executes overhead and bump passes and is an outstanding communicator. Presswood quickly comes up to the front row to provide protection on blocked balls. She is a nice person to get to know off the court. Presswood said her motivation as a libero is to give her teams the chance to run the offense when going after balls.

Caroline has got lots of game and brings it every set! We loved Carolines tenacity on the court. She is a sharp player that instinctively feels the upcoming play and puts herself in defense mode and reacts quickly! She has an excellent platform and can dig to get those balls up first or second contact with speed and agility to keep the play in sequence! She moves across the court and will lay herself out to keep the ball in play and does it determination and successfully! Caroline covers the front line extremely well with excellent body posture and readiness! She easily absorbs those hard hits and passes up to the setter with accuracy. She has a great serve and is trusted by her teammates to cover the back row! She is an all-in player and brings her game, an exciting prospect that would be a valuable asset to any team! Love her game!

Presswood is a valuable defender for the Mustangs. Presswood lines her body up to balls to make good passes, only lunging when necessary. Presswood is a tough server using sound angles to confuse defenders. Presswood said she’s been working on her serve reception, trying to get to balls faster and not assuming where balls are going. Presswood also said she’s done individual work with her dad in addition to improving her court awareness and positioning herself outside of blocks. Presswood led the Mustangs with 85 aces last fall to go with 170 digs.

Presswood shows what it means to be under control with her first touches every time she takes the court. Presswood only dives or lunges when necessary. When she does, she still squares her arms up with balls to make the necessary two to three-point passes to the setters. Presswood does a great job backing up plays. Presswood then lets out a lot of enthusiasm when the team wins the point. Presswood is also a sound server. Presswood had 170 digs and 85 aces for McCracken County this past season, helping the Mustangs go 35-6, win more 2nd District and 1st Region crowns and drive to the state quarterfinals.

Presswood is coming into her groove for the Mustangs. She makes timely digs for McCracken County. She had a nice game serving against North Oldham in the losing effort. Presswood does a great job communicating on the court. Presswood said games like this help the Mustangs prepare for the unexpected.
