She takes a high volume of sets and continues to power through with smart, aggressive swings—never letting up. Her deep cross-court ball is a weapon, landing clean and forcing defenders out of system. Ava’s ability to stay composed under pressure and terminate from both in-system and broken plays makes her a reliable scoring option that coaches should have circled.

Ava Lloyd Ava Lloyd 5'9" | OH/DS/L Bishop Heelan | 2026 State IA is coming off a state championship run for Sioux City Heelan in Western Iowa where she was a key six rotation outside hitter.  What I enjoy about Lloyd’s game is her consistency and well rounded skill set.  She was named to the Class 4A All Tournament Team and was 3rd Team All State.  She is in the heart of some of the top NAIA volleyball in the country as well as the NSIC where plenty of those schools would love to add her to the roster.  Her high school setter, Maddie LaFleur was named captain of the Class 4A All Tournament Team and is heading to Morningside. 

Ava Lloyd Ava Lloyd 5'9" | OH/DS/L Bishop Heelan | 2026 State IA was a huge reason why Sioux City Bishop Heelan was able to claim a Class 4A state title in Iowa.  The six rotation outside hitter was impressive with how she could hit a variety of angles and change up her speeds in being able to score points.  She was named to the Class 4A All Tournament Team where she has 13, 14, and 14 kills in three sweeps to claim their title.  She has quite the all around skillset where she can serve receive, defend, and score.
