Long is in a familiar position in the ECC following the 2024 cycle. Currently atop the statistics board for total kills with 43 total this season, she finished as the league’s highest terminator in 2024 as the only attacker to surpass 400 total kills for the season with 404. Long had 783 total kills entering this her senior season. Primarily a DS/L prospect during the club season, Long has proven her ability to score during the high school cycle through a high volume of opportunities. She recently announced her commitment to play her college volleyball at Bellarmine.

Long is the top returning arm in DI entering the 2025 season. She earned 404 total kills to lead all hitters in the ECC in 2024 during which she and her team finished with a 9-9 league record. Although a primary hitter during the high school season, most of her time with Elevation ‘s top 17U team was providing support in the passing and defensive phases out of the back row, where she has good tools to get involved with big impact.

Long has tremendous character that shows on the court. She remains calm under duress. She’s also very encouraging to her teammates and would make a great addition for a college program. Long may primarily play defense for this club team, but has shown she can come up with big kills when needed.

Long’s presence on the 17 Chicas team may be somewhat overshadowed with the wealth of talent on the team. However, her first touches are just as valuable as anything. Long tries to better balls each and every play. Long said the key there is staying relaxed and not getting frustrated by mistakes. Long added volleyball is a game of runs so it’s about lifting each other up and doing the best they can.
