Ava Schommer Ava Schommer 5'4" | S/OH Shanley | 2030 ND is a young setter with an opportunity to make her mark through the work she puts into every rally. What I want to highlight about Ava is the effort it takes to keep an offense moving when the first contact isn’t perfect. Setters have to cover a lot of ground, make quick adjustments, and still find a way to give their hitters an opportunity. That takes determination, especially when a rally starts breaking down. Ava also brings versatility to the conversation with her ability to play beyond the setter position. A young athlete learning different responsibilities on the court is valuable, and I like the potential it gives her as she builds her game. I want to follow her closely as she develops her leadership, consistency, and command of the offense. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
