About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a setter, I enjoy creating order out of chaos and leading my team by example. My primary goal is to make my hitters shine, use a variety of sets, and use my volleyball IQ to reverse the flow and read the defense. I consider myself a team player that likes to be competitive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Although naturally introverted, I should never be mistaken for not leading my team well. I am intentional in what I do. When I am comfortable around people, you will find that I am goofy and love to laugh, dance, and have fun!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of Btown Volleyball Club outside of school. I am also part of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and Leadership Academy. I also work at Teamwork Bloomington and Old Navy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed qualities like advocating for myself, setting and meeting goals, work ethic, and servant leadership.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have learned how to handle situations that are difficult.

NAIA, D2, D3, Public School, Christian, Small to Moderate Size
