Why not start with a new name for our 2029 database? We’re already thinking about the next overhaul for our sophomore rankings, and de Koning is a sure addition to the crew. This emergent athlete may have a future as a setter in the Chadron lineup, but 2026 has brought de Koning’s terminal prowess firmly into focus. She has tallied over 200 total kills to climb Nebraska’s leaderboards, helping the Cardinals notch an 18-16 record in Class C1. De Koning does most of her damage on the right side and has become a valuable blocking anchor against opposing left sides. Chadron will join its western Nebraska neighbors in the C1-10 sub-district, where a quarterfinal contest with Chase County awaits.
