Averie is excited for the opportunity Summer NIT provides as her team prepares for the final stretch of the club season. She views the event as both a valuable exposure opportunity and an important step toward nationals. Averie tells PrepDig Nevada,

“We are all very grateful and excited to attend our 2nd NIT tournament this year and can’t wait to play to our best abilities.”

When her team takes the court, coaches and spectators can expect plenty of energy, celebration, and passion, fueled by the strong chemistry that has helped bring the group together throughout the season.

“My personal goal for NIT Summer is to play to my best abilities under pressure to do my part to help my team succeed. I hope to show my coaches, college coaches, as well as fans that i am a team player and hardworking.”

Averie has been a standout presence on the court, using her 6’0” frame to dominate offensively. With 247 kills, 44 digs, and 19 aces, she’s already a key contributor and a go-to hitter for her team. She continues to find her rhythm on varsity, highlighted by a season-high 17 kills against Desert Oasis and several other double-digit kill matches. Averie leads her team in both kills and blocks, proving she can make an impact on both sides of the ball.

No surprise Averie is off to a dominant start, leading the state with 68 kills through just eight matches. A standout from BBVC this past club season, she brings a heavy, consistent arm to the outside and scores with precision. Averie was one of the top performers at our Freshman Showcase, immediately showing next-level potential. Averie is a powerful attacker who brings serious heat at the net. Her explosive approach and long reach set her up for powerful, high-point contact. She follows through with a fast arm swing that’s tough for defenders to track. With her physical tools and explosive style, she’s poised to be a major impact player at the high school level. Averie is for sure a go-to scorer with size and athleticism. The 5’11” incoming freshman has a quick arm, gets off the ground fast, and consistently hits around the block.
